Personal Description:
I am a second-year Psychology major currently attending University of British Columbia. I have worked in the field of Education and Counselling as a community worker for an autistic child. I have worked in the Residence Life programme at my university as a Residence Advisor. I graduated high school with a 3.5 GPA and was very passionate about academics and learning! My favourite subjects were English and anything to do with science!
Tutoring Experience:
I have limited experience in teaching or tutoring, but a lot of experience working with children and young adults!
Tutoring Approach:
As a Psychology major, I plan to utilize cognitive, behaviourist, psychodynamic, social, and developmental models of education and peer-helping. I am a student advocate and believe in understanding material, rather than memorizing it. Teaching is about identifying the gaps in a student's understanding in order to customize their learning experience.
