Personal Description:

Hello there!

My name is Gunjan and I hold a PhD in Molecular Biology and Oncology from the University of British Columbia. I have very strong background in the Sciences and particularly Biology and Chemistry as a result of dedicating most of adult life up to this point and career to research. I am currently a post-doctoral fellow at UBC and would love to share my knowledge!

Tutoring Experience:

I have TA'd undergraduate courses while I was a PhD student, taught students in the lab, mentored undergraduate students interested in research and I have also been a mentor and exam invigilator to students with disabilities as part of the Centre for Accessibility at UBC.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to teaching is catered to the needs of the individual. I believe we all have the potential to achieve academic success with the right kind of guidance and help. I strongly believe that we all learn differently - some are visual learners, while others are auditory learners. With that in mind, I like to spend a little time getting to know my tutees before I start teaching them so that I can effectively help them unlock their potential while having fun!
