Personal Description:

Hi! I'm a college and University educated professional, having excelled in English Literature and dramatic arts at the post-secondary level. I also scored first-class honours throughout my years training on piano with the Royal Conservatory of Music both in performance and theory, having successfully completed grade 1 and grade 2 theory. My passions continue to be music composition and production as well as creative writing in my spare time.

Tutoring Experience:

I have tutored and taught guitar to children aged 8 and up, and have been a teaching assistant for grades 2, 3 and 8 both in English and French.

Tutoring Approach:

I keenly pace myself according to the student's skill and comfort level, as some students may experience performance anxiety although they are adequately skilled to play music at an advanced level. For English exercises, an evaluation helps to assess where the student is at and which areas need improvement, and a "no-pressure" approach is taken to build skills positively and ensure steady progress.
