This is how 27 referees rated Garrett:
I've always had a passion for languages. As a child, I'd go with my parents to the airport and ask questions about all of the various languages being spoken and in elementary school, I created my own language. I believe teaching is one of the noblest professions in the world and that foreign language education is a critical component of becoming a global citizen.
I earned my undergraduate degree in Spanish literature and culture from North Carolina State University. During my undergraduate studies, I immersed myself in the study of the Spanish language and culture. I've helped teach Spanish in local schools and as a Spanish tutor. In addition to tutoring Spanish I-IV, I also tutor those who want to improve their conversational Spanish.
I don't believe it is my function to replace a student's Spanish teacher. Instead, I'm a supplemental resource for the instruction they're already receiving and I work to help them excel in their linguistic endeavors.
