Personal Description:

I am able to teach a number of high school math skills in effective ways. I can teach more introductory subjects like Algebra 1, high-level skills like calculus, and I am able to help students prepare for exams like AP Calculus AB and AP Statistics. Working as a math tutor is a great chance for me to see students improve and help them reach for their goals.

Tutoring Experience:

I earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and went on to obtain a master's degree in Education with an emphasis on High School Teaching. I have been a math tutor since I was in high school, and I taught high school math for eight years.

Tutoring Approach:

A key component of my philosophy as a math tutor is that students need to learn problem-solving skills, not simply the right answer. I work to help students develop their overall understanding of a concept so that they can apply those principles to other contexts.
