Personal Description:

While in university, I realized that the classes that I most enjoyed weren’t necessarily the subjects I was most intrigued by. In fact, it was my professors who made me want to come to class. When I think back, these professors were so effective at their job because they were always engaging and clear in the classroom. Above all, they were passionate about their teaching subjects, and were willing to go out of their way to help my classmates and I when we needed clarification about anything. I am inspired by these professors from my past, and I try to bring this kind of knowledge and enthusiasm to my classes.

Tutoring Experience:

I have six years professional experience as a tutor, and I’ve helped children with their educational goals, as well as adults with their professional/educational goals. My number one goal as a tutor is to help my students reach their goals. I encourage any resources or suggestions that students or parents can provide. I make myself available, and I will always reply quickly.

Tutoring Approach:

I do everything within my means to make sure that my sessions are engaging, fun, worthwhile, positive, and full of value. I am skilled at assisting my students with organizational skills, homework, test preparation, and assignments. I do not feed answers to my students, but rather teach them to ask questions that will bring them to the answers themselves. If they do not have any assignments or homework to work on, I utilize lesson plans where I start by introducing the topic at hand in a fun and interesting way. Afterwards, I give enough time for my students to do some practice questions, and to ask me any questions that they may have.
