Personal Description:

As a history tutor, I like to find out what motivates each student and start from there. I believe that a student will work harder to learn history if I can relate it to their interests, passions, and everyday life. I have experience helping students write history papers clearly and concisely.

Tutoring Experience:

I earned my bachelor's degree in Communications (Radio/ TV/ Film) with a minor in Business. I went on to earn my master's degree in Communications (Sports Sociology). I have been tutoring since my undergraduate years and as a history tutor, I can work with high school and college students on topics like American History.

Tutoring Approach:

In my first session with a new student, I will ask them a lot of questions about themselves so I can learn what they are interested in. This helps me motivate them. I also ask my students to tell me how what they are learning now can benefit them in their future career so they can see the application of the subject.
