My name is Erika and I am a female tutor completing my final year of an Undergraduate degree in Actuarial and Financial Mathematics at McMaster University. I offer tutoring in the Burlington/Hamilton/Oakville area.

Tutoring Experience:

I have experience tutoring students at the high school level as well as 16 months of work experience in the financial industry. All of my students have shown consistent improvement in their grades and most importantly their understanding through our weekly sessions.

Originally from Mexico, I am fluent in Spanish and can help beginners improve both grammar and oral conversation.

Tutoring Approach:

Based on each student's needs, I can use class materials or create specialized lessons to help students prepare for homework, unit tests, and final exams while developing their understanding of course materials. I believe that with practice and hard-work, anyone can be good at math, and I am happy to guide students through their learning. Many students struggle with application and communication of their knowledge, so I focus on these area when going through problems.
