Personal Description:

Hello! My name is Emily and I am 26 years old. I received my BA in philosophy from Uvic in 2018. Since then I have been preparing to pursue a degree in education by studying English and History.

Tutoring Experience:

I don't have much tutoring experience but I am studying to be a high school English and Social Studies teacher. I am a very positive and enthusiastic person. I discovered a love of learning during my time at University getting my first degree in philosophy with an accompanying emphasis on history. I'm hoping to pass on the joy of learning through tutoring.

Tutoring Approach:

I want to guide my tutee towards self discovery and avoid providing the answers they need outright. Using this method, I hope to install them with the confidence they need to excel at school long term.
