This is how 7 referees rated Edna:
I am currently earning a doctorate in history specializing in the history of epidemics and funeral rites in North Africa and the Middle East. I am a biology tutor who adapts her teaching style to meet the needs of each student. I strive to make learning fun and accessible for my students while ensuring they have the necessary core skills.
In addition to working on my doctorate, I have a bachelor's degree in biology from Reed College. I also have an M.P.H. in Sociomedical Sciences from Columbia University. Before I began my graduate work at Princeton, I worked as a research assistant in an immunology and genetics laboratory, participated in AmeriCorps, and conducted public health interviews for the New York City Department of Health.
I take a very student-oriented approach to tutoring. I ask each student what they want out of our sessions and how they envisioned tutoring to be.
