Personal Description:

I've been a professional English tutor since 2002. I have worked well with students for whom English is not their first language. I have tutored people from the ages of 7 to 82. I can tutor a variety of English topics like reading, writing, literature, essay editing, and Comparative Literature, among others.

Tutoring Experience:

I earned my bachelor's degree in German Language and Culture with a minor in Women's Studies. I went on to earn my master's degree in German Literature and Culture and Sociolinguistics. I also have a master's degree in Educational Psychology and Public Administration. I have tutored English and other topics to a diverse array of students.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe if a student keeps an open mind and has the willingness to learn, they will be successful in all they do. I seek to develop a relationship with my students based on trust and openness. I engage them in a learning conversation where we must both equally participate.
