Prince George tutor
This is how 2 referees rated Dominic:
I am completing a PhD at UNBC in Natural Resources and Environmental Studies with a focus on analytical chemistry. I have a MSc. in chemistry, with a focus on synthetic organic chemistry, and a BSc. in chemistry. I am married with two elementary school-aged children, both of whom would love to be scientists! :P I have a current criminal record check as required for volunteering with children at my children's school.
I taught chemistry at the College of New Caledonia for several years, and at UNBC between 2008-2013. I was a teaching assistant during my MSc. studies (2003-2006, degree issued 2007), primarily teaching organic chemistry lab. I have taught and developed a wide range of courses from first year through fourth year at the university level within the chemistry program, and am very familiar with the related subject matter, as well as assignments and testing methods. Through my teaching and work experience as a chemist, I understand the difficulties most students face with course material, and I am able to illustrate to students the practical application of such material.
Although the method in which students learn differs, the most successful chemistry students are the ones who dedicate their time to practicing the concepts. Prior to practice, however, understanding the concepts is key to success. I believe interactive learning through examples and feedback from students allows me to assess the level of understanding and the comfort with the material.

Since my son attends UNBC and I live in Manitoba, the process of finding a tutor at first seemed like finding a needle in a haystack. I appreciated so much your willingness to meet with him on campus and to fit him into your busy schedule. As a parent, it was reassuring to receive a response via email when I reached out with questions. He found you down to earth and appreciated your willingness to help him. We may need to hire you again down the road. Thank you,
