Personal Description:

Born and raised in Canada, I have an MSc in chemistry and over 16 years of experience tutoring maths and calculus. I have a passion for maths and have taught dozens of students and young adults over the years. When not tutoring I am out on the ice curling, or flying through the skies skydiving.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been tutoring for over 16 years. My focus has been with the BC math 10-12 pre-calculus classes as well as single-variable calculus (standard first-year university or Calculus 12 in high school). My students have included those struggling to pass and needing help rebuilding their foundations to highly intelligent children looking to get ahead. I offer tutoring both online and at the home.

Tutoring Approach:

I will work with you to find out how best you learn. Some students I have taught learn well with equations and examples, while others learn better through diagrams and figures. My experience with math lets me approach the subject from various angles allowing us to find the one that makes the most sense to you. I provide resources to my students such as good formula sheets, practice problems, and make myself available for the odd e-mail between sessions when they are stuck on a particularly difficult problem.
