Personal Description:

s a current student at Centennial College pursuing a biotechnology degree, I bring a wealth of academic achievements and an immense passion for education. Having completed IB (40/45) and IGCSE (6A*s), I try to push myself to pursue higher goals and achieve academically. However, my goal is not just personal achievements; it is about sharing my love for biology and chemistry with others and helping them reach their potential.

Tutoring Experience:

Thus, immediately after graduating from IB, I eagerly volunteered as an assistant to the biology teacher at my alma mater to assist the students primarily with their biology Internal Assessments. IAs demand rigorous research, analysis and presentation skills. I guided the students through the process of drafting, editing and the often challenging biostatistics component of the IA. Additionally, I have also privately tutored IB Biology (HL and SL) students.

Tutoring Approach:

Drawing upon my personal experience and challenges from IB, I empathize with the student needs and strive to create customized lesson plans that are tailored to help them achieve their maximum potential. I can handle biology and chemistry at IB HL and SL, IGCSE, GCSE, A levels and general high school, middle school biology as well.
As far as the lesson plan goes, I believe communication is the key so I will first have a brief conversation with the student regarding their needs and difficulties and then move from there. I will first breakdown the concepts to explain in simple terms and use devices like mind maps and flowcharts to facilitate chain reactions, cycles. I have a flexible schedule and I would try my best to fix timing according to the student's schedule.
