Personal Description:

I love science and am looking forward to helping students pursue their goals as a biology tutor! All students are capable of learning, but that doesn't mean that everybody learns the same way. I excel at discovering how a student learns and then presenting concepts such as homeostasis that way to promote understanding.

Tutoring Experience:

I'm currently teaching biology both in-person and online. I also have experience as a full-time tutor helping elementary school students in all subjects and using Lindamood Bell methods to teach students how to read. I have an associate's degree in Veterinary Technology, a BS in Biology, and an MS in Molecular Biology.

Tutoring Approach:

One of the best teachers I've ever had used to explain concepts to his dog. The dog didn't understand a word of it, of course, but the mere act of explaining something to somebody else reinforces your understanding of the material. I encourage my students to do the same.
