Personal Description:

Since graduating with Master of Education, I have been teaching Japanese at universities and language schools. More than 20 years of teaching experience under my belt has made me grow as an experienced teacher. Leveraging this experience, I am able to help students meet their individual goals. Since I have taught students ranging from 5 to 75 years old, I am well-aware of all levels of Japanese. I can quite comfortably incorporate various content areas of students’ interests such as history, anime etc to lessons. I believe this will help students in learning with more enthusiasm through both conventional means and enjoyable ways.

My teaching experiences both in Japan and Canada combined with my Master of Education Degree has made me grow as an experienced teacher.

Teaching Experiences (more than 20 years) : Taught various courses and programs at universities, colleges and language schools. Other professional Experience (15 plus years ) : Translator and Interpreter at publishing companies and law firms in Canada.

Tutoring Approach:

I can provide students with various learning methods including content based learning and immersion style of learning Japanese that have proven successful. My teaching motto is to encourage students to have fun with learning for positive results. I specialize in tutoring to help students acquire strategies designed to achieve their goals: ▪ understand their Japanese course contents in details through multi-dimensional approach ▪ draw on their individual learning strengths ( visual learner, analytic learner etc. ) Additionally I’ll help my students to improve well rounded skills : •effective practices to master challenging areas of Japanese grammar •pronunciation and presentation skills coaching and much more! Since I have taught various Japanese classes including children's programs and university level courses, I am adept at teaching all levels of Japanese.
