Personal Description:

I am a full-time Chemistry teacher in a major GTA school board. I enjoy doing demonstrations that sometimes involve a great deal of excitement! I have worked in a variety of schools and have been a terrific chemistry teacher to many students. I am a great communicator as I have the ability to help my students connect and truly understand the content and concepts of chemistry. Many of my students return from university to visit me in my lab/classroom. They tell me that I had truly prepared them for university chemistry.
One thing you will get by hiring me is quality. I am able to pick up exactly where my students are having problems.
I then work with my students to make connections and develop a strong understanding of concepts.

Tutoring Experience:

I have taught chemistry for +15 years.
I feel that my experience and sheer number of students speaks for itself.
I am currently teaching SCH3U and SCH4U. As a full-time teacher in a major school board I have used many teaching strategies. I use high tech equipment such as Vernier LabQuest2 data collectors, a smartboard and google classroom on a daily basis. I run a fully stocked lab which allows me to do many sophisticated labs that often match the labs that my tutees bring to me for help.

Tutoring Approach:

I listen to the needs of my tutees. We work together to solve problems and understand how to succeed at a high level in chemistry.
I am a great communicator and that involves clear explanations and the use of models/worksheets/test questions that target specific areas of need.
