Personal Description:

I am the eldest of 6 siblings. I love working with children. I enjoy spending my days off with my puppy Stormi and going for walks/hikes. I have known since high school that I wanted to have a career that involved helping children learn, grow and be the most successful individuals they can be.

Tutoring Experience:

I am a graduate from the Child and Youth Worker program at Sheridan College. I am currently completing my BA for Child and Youth Care at Ryerson University. I have 3 years experience working at ErinoakKids center for treatment and development. ErinoakKids is Canada's largest treatment and development center for children with Autism. I am currently employed with the school board as an educational assistant and I currently work in a grade 3/4 split class.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tutoring is to have patience and understanding of where the student is struggling. My approach is to always be innovative and not afraid to try new things that may help a student grasp a better understanding of the material they are struggling with. I love to encourage students to think for themselves and be able to use real-world examples wherever possible.
