Personal Description:

My background in tutoring includes both peer-tutoring when I was undergoing secondary and post-secondary education, and also a year of professional 1-on-1 tutoring with private clients. I am primarily a math tutor, although I also offer lessons on programming, Chinese, and chemistry. I take pride in my work and find the mentor-tutor relationship to be quite rewarding.

Tutoring Experience:

I have a bachelor's degree in Mathematics and considerable experience with informal tutoring throughout my educational career. During my time as a math tutor, I've found that different students learn in a different fashion. Some students are visual learners, and there are a lot of different ways that we can pictorialize Mathematical concepts and ideas to help those individuals learn.

Tutoring Approach:

My tutoring approach is to assist my students when it comes to establishing targets that they can work towards on a daily/weekly/monthly basis so that they can see the progress that they are making. And I find that tutoring is more effective if we are having a good time and enjoying our sessions together so I try to set a happy atmosphere.
