This is how 27 referees rated Cherub:
As someone who has gone from pursuing a GED to working in the medical field, I understand how education can change a person's life and sharing that blessing is my passion. I am a unique chemistry tutor because I have practical experience in two different education systems: the American one and the British one established in Ghana. This gives me an innovative approach to education that all students can benefit from.
I have considerable teaching experience through my volunteer work. For example, I have educated impoverished communities on the benefits of a healthy lifestyle as an ambassador for the Mentoring in Medicines Community health program. Furthermore, I provided broad-scale health education as an AmeriCorps National Service alumni. I have also helped Project Reach Youths high school students from battered homes both academically and emotionally.
Every student has potential, and the secret to unleashing it is figuring out how to best motivate them. Visual learners might enjoy watching educational videos, while kinesthetic learners may get more out of acting out chemical bonds. No matter what, the motivation must come from the student.
