Personal Description:

I have a Honours BA as a religion specialist, a MA in Religion and Culture, and a PhD in religious studies. The focus of my doctoral studies is religion and politics in America, but I am well versed in religions and religious studies, including Eastern and Western religions.

Tutoring Experience:

I have led tutorials and worked one on one with students throughout my academic career. My courses have included religion and film, courses on Eastern and Western religions, Judaism, and a focus on religion and pop culture.

Tutoring Approach:

The best moment of teaching/tutoring is when the student lights up when they understand a concept that has eluded them. My research is eclectic and I had worked a lot in the area of pop culture and religion, so my background and approach is to find a connection between what the student is learning, and what they already identify with. Understanding broad concepts, allows the more detailed pieces of knowledge to be easily understood, and placed into context within the broader ideas.
