Personal Description:

Hello, my name is Brian, a Canadian citizen, and I am currently residing in Ottawa, Canada. I have worked in a variety of jobs here in Canada over the years including agricultural research, data entry and other office work, landscaping maintenance, warehousing, electronic assembly and other types of work. I have spent a lot of time in the Philippines during the past 7 years being with my partner over there and working here in Ottawa the other part of the time. English is my first language and I have a basic understanding of French. I am eager to teach English as a second language and hold a TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) certificate that I received here in Ottawa. I studied at Ridgetown College of Agricultural Technology, Ontario, Canada, and graduated with an honour diploma in agricultural lab technology. My hobbies and interests include current affairs, film. travelling, cycling, hiking, photography, reading, listening to music, playing on my keyboard, swimming, tennis, chess, and social justice issues.

Tutoring Experience:

While in the Philippines, I have done some casual tutoring of English with my partner and her family. I enjoy this very much. I would now like to gain some more experience teaching and tutoring English on a formal basis.

Tutoring Approach:

I make the teaching lessons most enjoyable and understandable. I speak and write English myself very well and can explain things very clearly when teaching people. I am interested in teaching all levels of English to people of all ages. I am interested in online teaching only, preferably using Skype or Messenger but open to other applications.
