Personal Description:

Hello, my name is Brandon! I am a third year University of Alberta student completing a Bachelor of Science with a specialization in pharmacology… I am well rounded and passionate about furthering students' skill development and growth. I am fluently bilingual in English and French with over 6 years of experience of tutoring.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been tutoring students of all ages in multiple subjects for over 6 years now. I have also worked at Kumon Math and Reading Centre for 5 years now where I help children ranging from pre-kindergarten to high school (ages 3-18) with difficulties in the subjects of mathematics and English. If chosen, I would love to share the study methods, time allocation and keys for success that have allowed me to obtain my marks. As a student, I have found both academic success and personal fulfillment in my studies, and seek to translate these as a tutor.

Tutoring Approach:

My teaching philosophy is quite simple, I believe that everyone learns in different ways and that we never stop learning. I believe that in order to become a successful teacher/ tutor, you need to become flexible with your teaching approaches and grow with your students. I learn from students just as much as they learn from me. I also hope to inspire students in academia and foster their confidence to pursue a field they love and will succeed in.
