Personal Description:
I am a seasoned academic with a variety of interests that span disciplines, giving me a broad knowledge base to draw from. I believe that the best way to approach tutoring is to relate what a student is studying with whatever they are passionate about, making the material feel more relevant to their interests. I also try to focus on problem-solving skills rather than knowledge regurgitation, as the latter only represents surface-level learning at best. I am comfortable teaching multiple subjects, including microeconomics, macroeconomics, college economics, high school business, and finite mathematics.
Tutoring Experience:
I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Economics, Psychology, and Information Science. It's a unique combination that helps me relate to all types of students.
Tutoring Approach:
The question "When will I need to know this?" is something that every economics tutor needs to prepare for, and I pride myself on always having a real-world, relevant, unique answer for it.
