Personal Description:

I have always been interested in the concept of understanding. I want to know how people learn things and how they understand the world around them. I have extensively studied learning strategies so I am well versed in a variety of tutoring methods. This helps me be an excellent chemistry tutor.

Tutoring Experience:

I earned my bachelor's degree in a double major in Neuroscience and Cognitive Science with a minor in Saxophone Performance. I'm available as a chemistry tutor to help students in high school or college. I can help students studying AP Chemistry and those preparing for the SAT Subject Test in Chemistry.

Tutoring Approach:

I teach my students that if they want to thoroughly understand a topic, they must get the basic reasoning behind it. Understanding the theory behind the concepts and how they work offers my students the ability to analyze questions related to chemistry. I treat my first session with each student as a diagnostic exam so I know where they need help.
