Personal Description:

I am a UK fully qualified teacher, and experienced tutor offering personalised tutoring, focussing on the areas that will help you succeed, be it in school, college, university or in professional qualifications.

I specialise in tutoring UK students for their Maths GCSE or A Level.

I can also help with preparation for the ITT numeracy skills test, as well as other qualifications.

For GCSE:
- Achieve that all important grade 5
- Fill in gaps in knowledge to push your grade up
- Strategies to help answer those tricky worded questions
- Identify what maths you need to use and break questions down into steps
- Time management and exam technique - can help you achieve across all subjects!

For A-level I specialise in Core Mathematics, Statistics and Decision Maths.

I have a Ph.D. in Statistics together with an honours degree in Maths. I obtained an A* in GCSE and an A in A-level Maths. I can help you do the same!

I have successfully taught Maths at secondary schools and sixth form colleges in the Basingstoke area, and in London. I have also lectured and led seminars for undergraduates at the University of Kent.

I have been tutoring for a number of years, and have led several students to success. I aim to increase student confidence as well as ability, as well as assisting with exam practice and tips.

Tutoring Approach:

I supply tailor made tutoring to assist students in building their confidence in Maths. I give focused support for exams and revision guidance. I am experienced in working with learners of all abilities, helping them to build their skills and confidence in this important subject.

Tutoring sessions will start with an assessment of strengths and weaknesses. A tailor made programme will then be agreed, for a set number of sessions or on an ongoing basis. This can be designed to complement the scheme of work being followed in school, or as a stand alone programme covering all areas of the Curriculum.
