Personal Description:

I'm Ben, I use they/them pronouns, and I'm currently a second-year student in Wilfrid Laurier's BA mathematics program, with plans to go into the education program after. I've been interested in education since I was in elementary school, and am currently pursuing a career in education. Outside of education, my hobbies include music and programming.

Tutoring Experience:

I am currently working on a teaching option (similar to an education minor) at Wilfrid Laurier University, which has a focus on practical application and modern methodology. Previously, I have worked as a teaching assistant in an elementary school class, where I worked one-on-one or with small groups of exceptional students.

Tutoring Approach:

I promote an understanding-based methodology which focusses on building a strong foundation for future learning. This is critical, especially in mathematics, where future learnings are reliant on a strong grasp on the previous ones.
