Personal Description:

My name is Beatrice, I come from Lagos, Nigeria and am currently enrolled in Ryerson University for my Masters in Thermofluids. In my free time, I like to make comics and illustrations and go running for miles at a time.

Tutoring Experience:

I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2018 from the Georgia Institute of Technology. During my time in college, I tutored freshmen students in their introductory engineering classes. These classes included Calculus 1 & 2, Engineering Dynamics, CAD software, MATLAB Syntax and Inorganic Chemistry. I enjoyed it and would do it all over again in a heartbeat.

I found pride in helping students achieve their academic goals. There's a spark in a student the moment they solve a problem and it's such a wonderful thing to witness. I am dedicated to making sure each one of my students reach that point and gain the confidence to excel in their coursework.

Tutoring Approach:

I like to work closely with a student and walk them through the process of understanding a subject. I also like to know my student so I can understand how they learn. For instance, I am an audiovisual learner, meaning I learn best with pictures and sounds, or video. Most of the students I have tutored fall under this category or audio kinetic. Understanding how a student learns helps me to best know how to teach them.
