Personal Description:

Hi! My name is Batool and I am a recent Civil Engineering graduate from the University of Ottawa. As a woman in STEM, I am very encouraging towards young kids who have a passion for going into engineering or science. I graduated as a valedictorian in high school having an outgoing personality and strong academics. I held a 9.0 GPA through my university career while being an exec in numerous clubs such as the civil engineering student society. I also had the opportunity to work with the federal government of Canada on the rehabilitation of the center block building. Not only do I have a strong academic background to teach your child but I can also present a view of the world in a meaningful way.

Tutoring Experience:

Tutored 1st-year University/College Math for three years.
Tutored gr 12/11/10/9 math & science for three years.
Assistant teacher at Saturday school for one year.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to teaching is very student dependent. First I will understand where your child stands in their academics by evaluating what they know and what type of learner they are (ie. visual, kinetic, auditory or read/write). Then I will determine where they need to be in their school courses. From there we will go step by step to reaching our academic goal using their learning method. While tutoring, I will encourage your children to think for themselves and guide them through their learning when they require it.
