Information About Bakhtiyar
This is how 2 referees rated Bakhtiyar:
I am a masters student at York University with 7 years of experience in academia and 5 years of experience in private tutoring. My first tutoring in Canada started with a volunteer position at Universal Minds; volunteer-based tutoring program for struggling high school students around University of Toronto. Since then I have tutored in both private tutoring companies and high schools, and have taught more than 20 students.
I love science and sharing this admiration of mine with people tirelessly. I am confident in my communication and rhetorical skills. My goal in teaching is not only to increase students' understanding of a given subject, but also to inspire and get them motivated.
2019-present M.Sc… Graduate Studies in Biology, York University
2017-2019 Research Assistant at SickKids Hospital, PGCRL.
2016-2017 Research Assistant at MaRS, Discovery District.
2012-2016 B.Sc… Department of Molecular Genetics, University of Toronto (with distinction).
5 years of tutoring experience, teaching high school up to Grade 12 biology, chemistry, physics and math. Also have experience teaching university level biology. I have taught more than 20 students with varying backgrounds and skill sets at both schools and private tutoring companies. My students always show continuing progress in the course of our tutoring sessions.
I am a goal oriented science enthusiastic. Namely, I can help you get the mark you aim for or learn the topic of your interest with the shortest route possible and not in a boring way. I am open to any kind of suggestions to improve sessions and accommodate to student's learning habits. I teach students tricks and hints to both how to understand the topic and how to master exams. I am a communicative tutor, I require students to talk and explain their understanding and reasoning, in order to teach them how to think rather than what to think.
