Personal Description:

Hi! I'm Avie (short for Avalon), I am a first year chemistry major at Thompson Rivers University. I learn best by teaching and helping guide others to understanding, so tutoring for me is a great win/win!

Tutoring Experience:

Although I'm fairly new to formal tutoring, I have always enjoyed being an unofficial tutor for classmates, family, and friends in math and science. I have also attended years of trades school training in welding and mechanics and during that time developed many different learning strategies and skills that I would share with my peers.

Tutoring Approach:

I truly believe that everyone of us has the potential to learn anything, we just all have unique perspectives and ways of understanding things that need to be considered. I enjoy offering the patience and creativity required to make the challenging and confusing material into something understandable and relatable.
