Personal Description:

My name is Ava and im 15 years old, i'm a grade 10 student. I've been going to a full french school since the age of 4. Prior to that at a french daycare I learn to speek fluent french in three weeks just buy hearing the language around me. French and English have always been my best subjects, my grades have always been in at least the 80's. I have a passion for writting and have been told by quite a few teachers that I was their best student in that domain.

Tutoring Experience:

I've been tutoring kids for almost two years now. I've worked with students who needed to learn from scratch aswell as some who just needed some homework help, and everything in between.

Tutoring Approach:

When dealing with little kids it's important to remember if they have short attention spans. I'm always patient. I try to be as understanding as possible. First Step that I take when tutoring younger kids especially is make sure to be talkin both English and French because that way it allows them to make connections between words in both languages. It's very important that they have the support of their family members so that they can also be encouraged and motivated to proceed with learning this new language or even practicing it. I try to make this fun for them because I know that after going to school all day and everything the last thing they wanted to do more school I try to find fun and educational activities for them to make this time with me a little more entertaining instead of miserable.
