Personal Description:

I've been a math tutor for over 17 years. Part of my work has involved helping students with learning disabilities. As a tutor, I like to think that I can help my students develop a love of learning that will help them throughout their life. I'm also very keen to assist students in developing "soft skills" that can help them in their studies, teaching them about time management, and having the right organizational habits.

Tutoring Experience:

My experience spans an eighteen-year career being involved in various capacities in the educational system. I've worked as a teacher as well as a counselor, and I have taught many different subjects. I've got extensive post-secondary education, including a B.A. in Psychology, and I have spent basically my entire adult life teaching and providing guidance to students.

Tutoring Approach:

My tutoring approach is to tailor my lessons to my student's individual needs. I recognize that everyone is unique and has different abilities so I like to observe my students and then on the basis of these observations choose a learning path that is right for them. I also like to impress upon my students the importance of working towards goals.
