Personal Description:

Hi!
I go by many titles… mom, teacher and Harry Potter Fan. I think of myself as a life-long learner as I continue to expand my own knowledge in education. I believe learning should be fun and exciting. I aim for my students to get excited for school and to share everything they have learned with the ones closest to them. I love teaching Math using a wide range of resources, games, and visuals. I also enjoy teaching English, specifically phonics, as I support my students as they enter the amazing world of reading.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been teaching for the past 6 years; 5 of which were spent teaching abroad in England. Throughout my years, I have had the pleasure of teaching from Kindergarten to Grade 6.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tutoring is pretty simple, to make learning fun! I try and tailer all my learning to the interests of my students… so if you like Paw Patrol then we will be using our cherry diagrams or bar models with those furry friends. From my classroom teaching experience I know that information needs to be presented in a variety of different ways; I aim for my students to learn a concept… not memorise one.
