Personal Description:

I have experience teaching in the classroom and in private tutoring settings. Many students credit part of their learning success to my ability to explain things in a way they understand and my ability to teach to their learning styles. They also consider me an open, kind, non-intimidating English tutor.

Tutoring Experience:

I earned my bachelor's degree in English with a minor in Classical Studies and went on to earn my master's degree in English. I tutored students in a community college writing center as I was earning my master's and also taught college English classes.

Tutoring Approach:

The first thing I strive for as an English tutor is to foster a desire for knowledge in my students. Then it's my job to help them acquire that knowledge and equip them with the tools they need to build upon their foundation and achieve their goals. I like getting to know my student's learning styles so I can adjust my tutoring accordingly.
