Personal Description:

I believe that motivated students put forth the best effort and achieve superior outcomes, so I stress that every student has potential as an English tutor. I begin by forging a relationship with my pupil, helping me identify how they like to learn and where their areas of opportunity lie. Once I've earned their trust, I can design personalized study plans to help them reach for their goals.

Tutoring Experience:

My professional experience is quite varied. I am currently teaching a college course and am a former seventh-grade English teacher, so I know how to connect with students. I also own a business that brings creative problem-solving into education and have worked as a marketing executive, so I'll think outside of the box to help my students.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that students should experience "productive struggle," meaning that I guide them through an exploration of the material rather than lecturing at them. It can be tough at times, but I make sure that my students know the effort will not be wasted.
