Personal Description:

I have a wide range of experience in Asia and with international students in Canada. I have successfully taught every age group. Most importantly, I have taught in the elementary and high school levels in Osaka for three years. I am flexible and enthusiastic. I consistently teach with positive thinking and reinforcement.
I also have prepared students for major English exams across Asia and Canada. I am also preparing university students here for two major, mandatory examinations called the Language Proficiency Index and the IELTS. I have a specific and detailed knowledge of both exams. I have had success preparing students for each exam at the UBC campus in Vancouver, British Columbia. My goal is to ensure students continue on with their English studies. I find teaching English is a positive objective for my life. I have also coached the skills of basketball and volleyball. I enjoy playing baseball, ice hockey and tennis. I believe in the power of positive thinking while teaching. Every moment is a teaching moment. I am friendly in and out of the classroom. Please Note: I have taught children as young as 5 years old throughout Osaka, Japan.
I was born and raised in Vancouver, Canada. I am Caucasian and fluent in English and conversational French. I also have basic Japanese language fluency from my three years in Osaka. Furthermore, I am athletic and maintain a healthy body through swimming, basketball, ice hockey and baseball. I enjoy creative writing in my free time.
