Personal Description:

I am an energetic, motivating individual ready to educate wherever I go. I am currently an LTO teacher in the HCDSB, facilitating courses in Business and Religion. During these difficult times, I smoothly transitioned to a blended teaching approach (in class and remote teaching). I believe my ability to build and maintain strong relationships with my students and parents/guardians, has eased this transition. On a more personal level, I am passionate about health and fitness (played competitive hockey and soccer), financial literacy, and family /friends. Pre-covid times, travelling would be one of my main hobbies. Thankfully I graduated from teachers college in New Zealand, November 2019.

Tutoring Experience:

I graduated from teachers college in 2019 from The University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand. While completing my placements, I had the opportunity to teach in a variety of classrooms including; cross curricular classes, blended learning, and all boys education. These experiences provided me with a strong foundation to take back to Canada and into the classroom. I am now an LTO Business Teacher at a school in the Halton Catholic District School Board since September 2020.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe in providing a personalized approach to education and tutoring. I will tailor all content to the student in front of me, and ensure all their personal and academic needs are being met. I am able to do so through building strong relationships with students, and uncovering topics ranging from their likes and dislikes, to their strengths and areas of opportunities as a student. I am most passionate about the business, economics, and social sciences discipline areas, but also have understandings in mathematics.
