Personal Description:

Hello! My name is Vaclaū, I am a Political Science student at a Huron college at Western University.

I accomplished a bilingual IB Diploma at UWC South East Asia. In terms of tutoring, I mostly specialize on IB Global Politics course as it is my long standing passion. That is the main focus of my teaching, though I also enjoy to bring intersectionality into play. Sometimes, connecting the subject with other related fields (such as Economics, ESS and others) does not only broaden the understanding horizons but also helps to connect with students who have a hard time with the subject.

Tutoring Experience:

I have an experience of various educational field internships, such as a camp counsellor, a teacher assistant and a boarding houseparent assistant. Those positions let me to take a closer look on a daily life of kids and young adults.

Tutoring Approach:

Summing up all of the above, I believe that the best achievement a tutor can ever accomplish is to help a student to fulfill their potential. My primary sign of a successful teaching is a student's level of passion and understanding. Grades and exams are indicators of student's knowledge. They are useful for consideration and tutoring planning, though might not always reflect student's abilities. Therefore, the student is the one who guides (but not dictates!) my tutoring.
