Personal Description:

Hey there! You can call me Angelina or Ang for short. I love math and making math fun! I know that there's a lot of kiddos out there who really struggle with the subject, but I've been known for being able to break down concepts into more manageable and understandable steps. Aside from math, I love gym, Foods class, soccer, hockey, and golf! I have a dog and a cat who you might hear or see in the background :).

Tutoring Experience:

I am currently a High School Foods teacher at Father Lacombe in Calgary. This will be my 5th year of teaching. In my previous years I was a junior high math teacher. I have experience working with kids from the age of 12 as a soccer coach and bike camp instructor and manager. I have been a tutor for about 5 years with a Calgary company, as well as just on my own.

Tutoring Approach:

As stated before, I really try to help my students understand concepts. There are a lot of people I know who simply memorize without truly knowing what they're doing and why they're doing it. With my approach, students develop strengths in the basic operation of the outcome, and then gradually move into the how and why before truly tackling the problem.
