I am a third-year JD Law student at the University of Toronto. With my JD, I am also receiving the Certificate in Environmental Studies, the Rotman at Law Certificate in collaboration with the Rotman School of Management, and the Certificate in Aboriginal Legal Studies. On my LSAT, I scored in the 96th percentile.
Once I finish law school, I will be working at Ecojustice, a public interest environmental law firm. I want to use my skills and learning to improve the world, and that includes tutoring you!
Outside of my law training, I have also run multiple businesses and successfully crowdfunded a range of projects from a feature-length environmental documentary about an endangered subspecies of orcas to a card game about transformative future storytelling to a survivalist camping waterbottle. My business experiences have given me great insight into how we can make positive change in our world, and I would like to pass that on to my students.
I have privately tutored many students in a variety of elementary and high school subjects.
I have tutored students at law school, and who wish to go to law school. This includes specific content learned at law school as well as how to approach learning in the law context.
I have tutored young people in business, including supporting them in launching their own ideas and turning them into reality.
First, I want to understand why you are pursuing the path you are on. What motivates you? Why does this motivate you? What are your short and long-term goals? If you don't have answers to these questions, we'll start by working through them.
We will then design a system that works for you to achieve your goals. We will leverage your motivations to help you succeed. I will actively support your learning by focusing not only on the content you need to know, but also on your approach to your studies. I want to help you learn how to think from different perspectives, which will enable you to learn more effectively and be able to approach any new discipline with confidence.
I'm a friendly and young person. I want this to be an engaging experience for us both. I want to come to our lessons with excitement, and I want to feel that we are both gaining from our time together.
My ideal student cares about the world. They want to make it a better place for themselves and for future generations. They want to use what they are learning to promote positive change.
