Personal Description:

I am a native French speaker and grew up in Quebec. I am passionate about language learning and teaching. I offer a unique approach to developing student proficiency in French through online gaming. My students are engaged in interacting in French while playing the video games they love.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been teaching French for the past 20 years, having taught at the elementary, secondary and university levels in Quebec and Ontario. I am a member of the Ontario College of Teachers and am a France Éducation International DELF Correcteur/Examinateur.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe in the Action-Oriented Approach of language teaching. I put this into practice through the spontaneous and task-driven nature of cooperative online gaming. My conversational French teaching is done using the methodology of the Common European Framework and my classes are based on the A2, B1, and B2 proficiency levels. Games such as Fortnite and Minecraft are some of the games I play with my students to improve their proficiency in conversational French. I am also an avid gamer and have over 650 Fortnite wins!
