Personal Description:

I am an University student currently studying at the Schulich School of Business at york university, who always had a passion for teaching students. I am a student who enjoys learning thus have taken several different courses including all the sciences, math, English, business as well as accounting at a academic and university level and have maintained an average above 95% in these courses. Aside from school, I enjoy playing basketball, baking and have an interest in hair and aesthetics.

Tutoring Experience:

I have experience working with children of all ages while volunteering at a local mosque where I taught students how to read and write Arabic. From this I learnt effective communication and organizational skills which have helped me in high school. Moreover, I have experience tutoring my family and friends in subjects they have difficulty in.

Tutoring Approach:

Before I will start to tutor, I will ask my tutee what type of learner they are so that I can accommodate their needs. Additionally I will go at their pace making sure they understand the concepts taught, most often students will say that they understood a lesson learnt when they do not, thus after I teach new concepts, I will have the student complete a question corresponding to what they have learnt to determine if I shall move on. Lastly, I will have a online communication system set up for tutees to ask questions that they forgot to ask including homework questions.
