This is how 35 referees rated Alyssa:
I'm currently enrolled in an academic program with a heavy focus on mathematics, computer science, and statistics and I love tutoring in these fields. That is one of the reasons I became an economics tutor for high school and college-level students, including those taking honors courses in related fields such as AP Statistics.
I earned my undergraduate degree in statistics and economics from the University of Missouri and I am pursuing a graduate degree in predictive analytics at Northwestern University. Before I began my graduate studies I was an Associate Director of Analytics. Over the years I've been responsible for training people which has allowed me to evolve my instructional approach.
I think it's important for students and teachers to realize that everyone learns differently. When every student's learning style is taken into consideration, the learning process can become much more effortless for both the teacher and the student. That is why I take the time in the beginning to get to know each student and discover their learning style so that I am able to adapt my teaching strategy accordingly.
