Personal Description:

I am a UBC graduate offering year-round online tutoring in science, math, and english for students in elementary to post-secondary levels.

Tutoring Experience:

I recently earned my BSc from UBC. I have a passion for science and math that allowed me to excel in the subjects in high school and beyond. I have previously tutored high school chemistry, essay writing, and pre-calculus and university chemistry and biology. I have also completed my MCAT and performed strongly on biochemistry, general chemistry, physics, biology and psychosocial sections. I am currently accepting new students!

Tutoring Approach:

My teaching methods are flexible. I like to cater my approach to the needs of individual students. I encourage students and/or parents to connect with me about their specific needs. It is my goal to give students the tools and strategy to arrive at answers themselves by using verbal explanations, diagrams and images, and by outlying patterns of thinking and walking students through a thought process that they can reproduce to solve problems on their own. If students have a specific topic in mind, it is my preference that they send me the material or assignment that they are working on ahead of time, so that I can develop a lesson plan!
