I have many years of experience working with children of all ages and abilities in various contexts, as well as experience in tutoring. In addition to this, I have many years of experience working with children and adults with mental and physical disabilities. I am willing and eager to help students of any age, level of study, and abilities reach their full potential and pursue all of their goals. I am comfortable tutoring a very wide range of science topics and subjects from elementary school science to neuroscience, high school biology, and chemistry.
I completed a bachelor's degree in Psychology at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. I am currently a graduate student at Washington University in St. Louis where I am pursuing an advanced qualification specializing in Occupational Therapy. In addition to my degree qualifications, I have extensive experience working with students who have been struggling to overcome physical, mental, and educational obstacles for the past 6 years. I have a passion for education that I hope to instill in my students.
Because I believe that everyone learns differently, I am committed to getting to know my students so that I can create tailor-made plans informed by their learning styles, interests, and what motivates them so I can help them reach their goals. I am a patient and compassionate science tutor who always tries to provide students with multiple perspectives on the topic they are learning. In my experience, this helps them gain a deeper understanding of a topic and often makes learning easier.
