Personal Description:

I tutored students in grades 6-12 for two years when I was a student, focusing on subjects such as math, SAT and ACT prep, and broader organizational and study skills that can be applied to virtually any class. I enjoy tutoring math because I'm an analytical thinker who wants to inspire students to challenge themselves academically. My experience has also shown me how to connect with different types of students and approach challenging problems from multiple angles.

Tutoring Experience:

I graduated with a double major in Economics and Political Science in 2015, giving me an extensive background in quantitative subjects like microeconomics and college business. I'm currently employed as an Associate Account Executive, so I know how to relate academics to real-world applications as a math tutor.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that study skills are the secret to becoming a good student, so I'm always trying to help students set their own schedules. I am also a strong advocate of short-term goal-setting to help students feel like they're making progress.
