Personal Description:

Hi! I am a professional online tutor living between Toronto, Canada and Medellin, Colombia. I am currently taking a year off of teaching in a classroom to pursue other hobbies but am already missing the daily interaction with students and teaching mathematics. Online tutoring gives me the opportunity to continue my passions of being an educator and having fun with math.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been a high school mathematics teacher for 5 years. After graduating university I moved to the UK where I was maths lecturer at a vocational college for two years. After I moved to China and worked as a Pre-Calculus teacher at a Canadian International School. This past school year I was living in Colombia teaching Geometry at an American International School.

Tutoring Approach:

Math is about repetition and building on knowledge. I truly believe everyone can be successful in mathematics. There is more than one way to look at a question and together we will find a way to make it make sense to you. Depending on your needs, I will model a solution to a problem and have you try one on your own. It takes patience, focus and practice but you will succeed!
