I am a Designer working in the International Fashion Industry for the past 15 years.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been teaching visual arts to Grade 9 students here in Mississauga since 2017. Have also conducted creative workshops for all ages.

Tutoring Approach:

From the word go, I try and understand my students, their ability with the subject and both their strengths and areas where they may need improvement. The idea is to customise my approach to the specific needs of each student. When it comes to art, the first thing is to get the student interested and begin with opening his/her mind to the idea of visual arts and debate, discuss the very concept itself. For me Art is more about how we as individuals approach it and then come the skills such as sketching, drawing, painting etc. This also helps to ease the pressure as most students associate Art with drawing and painting skills only. The creative process is what we focus on in each session and simultaneously discuss different theories, Art styles and develop and work on the students skill level.
