Personal Description:

I am a gold medallist and university topper in B.Sc. Mathematics (Honours), with a long-standing track record of academic excellence. I also hold a Master’s degree in Computer Science, which further deepened my analytical and problem-solving skills.

Teaching is not just my profession – it’s my passion. I find immense joy in helping students discover their strengths, build confidence, and develop a genuine interest in learning. My approach is friendly, engaging, and tailored to each child’s unique needs. I particularly enjoy working with children and teenagers, creating a supportive environment where they feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow.

Over the years, many of my students have not only achieved excellent academic results but have also developed a lasting love for learning – often looking forward to our sessions as a highlight of their week.

Tuition Experience:

I have been tutoring students across both primary and secondary levels since 2016 in Balwyn, working with hundreds of learners to help them build strong academic foundations and achieve excellent results. Many of my students have gone on to perform exceptionally well in school and standardised assessments.

Prior to this, I regularly conducted remedial classes at my children’s schools, supporting students who needed additional help in key subjects. These sessions not only deepened my passion for teaching but also shaped my student-centred approach.

Before transitioning to education, I spent over 15 years in the corporate sector, working across diverse roles including IT Specialist, Quality Manager, and Project Manager. This background has enriched my teaching with strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a structured yet empathetic approach to mentoring young minds.

Tutoring Approach:

For Primary School Students:
Every student begins with a baseline assessment to identify their current level and learning needs. Based on this, I tailor a structured yet enjoyable learning plan that suits their pace. My teaching style is warm, engaging, and fun – students often see me as both a guide and a friend, which helps create a comfortable learning environment.
I design custom worksheets aligned with each student’s individual needs, ensuring that concepts are reinforced through practice. Every child receives personal attention, and progress is carefully tracked. After each topic, an assessment is conducted, and detailed feedback is shared with parents. I also maintain a comprehensive learning record for each student, and a detailed term-end report is provided to keep parents fully informed.

For High School Students:
My teaching aligns with the student's school curriculum – whether Victorian or Australian – and is flexible to support upcoming assessments, classroom learning, or specific areas of difficulty. I maintain a friendly, approachable teaching style while ensuring academic rigour. I offer my own targeted worksheets and am also happy to work through textbooks or resources preferred by the student.

For Advanced and Gifted Learners:
I provide enrichment through challenging, high-level problem-solving tasks. I also offer specialised preparation for academic competitions such as ICAS, NAPLAN, AMC, Maths Olympiads, and selective school entrance exams.
